A post-coronavirus boost to culture and tourism in Tees Valley

Tees Valley Combined Authority have recently announced a £16.5 million programme that will be launched in the new year to help support Tees Valley’s creative and cultural sector in their long-term recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.

The funding will help to support the development and growth of businesses, as well as helping to attract new events and festivals to the region with the aim of boosting the Tees Valley’s profile as a visitor destination.

Culture, leisure and tourism is one of the sectors hardest hit by the Covid-19 outbreak and this funding will be a welcomed boost to the sector during such challenging circumstances.
