The award winning BIS is a vibrant flexible workspace providing studios and offices for the creative industries sector through the refurbishment and extension of the derelict Grade II Listed former General Post Office Building in Hartlepool.
The project is aimed at both new and existing creative businesses to capture and retain knowledge and skills in the town. For creative businesses, The BIS offers flexible commercial property units in Hartlepool within an award winning space.

The BIS has recently received multiple awards which highlight the success of this regeneration and investment project in Hartlepool.

- RICS Social Impact Award winner of the Heritage Award
A key catalyst project in the Innovation and Skills Quarter regeneration strategy, this project is significantly contributing to the revitalisation of the Church Street conservation area, whilst bringing community benefit by shifting perceptions of the area as an evolving and dynamic part of the town.
Partnerships with Hartlepool Further Education College and the Northern School of Art have been invaluable in the development of this project and its ability to provide students with the opportunity to engage with the creative sector in Hartlepool and identify career opportunities.
